NEC Financial Services Selects CUMAC for Warehousing Services & Inventory Management

Saddle Brook, NJ – October 11, 2018 – NEC Financial Services, LLC today announced it has joined forces with CUMAC of Paterson, New Jersey, to provide warehousing and inventory management services while offering skills training and steady work in a professional environment to participants of their Pathways to Work program.

“Focused on the fight to end hunger in Passaic County, CUMAC is an amazing organization that is enriching the lives of tens of thousands of New Jersey residents in need every year,” said Herschel Salan, President of NEC Financial Services. “When our previous contract for warehouse services and inventory management came up, NEC jumped at the chance to provide meaningful work opportunities to CUMAC’s Pathways to Work participants.”

Palma Rizzi, Asset Manager for NEC Financial Services who oversaw the partner integration with CUMAC stated, “Our transition to CUMAC’s team and overall experience with participants to date has been nothing short of extraordinarily smooth and professional. We made the right move.”

For more than 30 years, CUMAC has provided food, disaster relief, housing, job training and care to over 65,000 individuals annually – including children, the sick, elderly, disabled, homeless and hungry, victims of disasters and people in need of help during times of crises. In addition, the organization operates a Pathways to Work skills training program, which exposes participants to a high-functioning, supportive and professional work environment.

“Our efforts to strengthen and grow the Pathways to Work program has led to several people finding jobs and full-time AmeriCorps positions since this spring, demonstrating the tremendous opportunity we have to positively affect our community,” said CUMAC Executive Director Mark Dinglasan. “By helping NEC Financial Services solve a challenge in its own business, we are also providing unique and valuable opportunities for individuals to compete for meaningful jobs and careers.”

CUMAC owns and operates a 28,000 square-foot multi-purpose warehouse in Paterson, a portion of which now serves as the official warehouse and inventory management provider for NEC’s asset management process. Everything from business phone systems and unified communications to servers, storage and networking equipment now moves through the CUMAC facility thanks to Pathways to Work participants.

Participants in Pathways to Work have opportunities for on-the-job skills training, including everything from resume writing and tutoring to forklift and inventory management training.
